Mr. John Johnson (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mr. John "J.W." Johnson, 83, husband of the late Mary N. Johnson, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. Stephen W. Johnson officiating. Mr. Johnson retired as the Chief Pharmacist at St. Joseph Hospital and was an Associate of University Hospital and of Sterling Drugs. He was a member of the Hemerocallis Society and a cofounder and member of the Augusta Day Lily Club. He was also a member of National Hills Baptist Church and attended the Adult Coed Sunday School Class. Survivors include his two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Renae Johnson of Carol Stream, Illinois and Jack and Barbara Johnson of Augusta; a grandchild, Sarah Jane Johnson and a former daughter-in-law, Virginia Tipton of Aiken. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Johns on. If so desired, memorials may be made to the National Hills Building Fund, 2725 Washington, Augusta, Ga. 30909.
