Mr. Perron Garvin (WAGENER, S.C.)

WAGENER, S.C.- Mr. Jacob Perron Garvin, 91, of Garvin's Bottom, entered into rest Thursday, February 26, 2004. True son of confederate veteran, farmer, grits grinder, camper and wonderful husband, father and granddaddy, J.P. was born at the home place on June 19, 1912 to the late Jacob Aaron and Sallie Koon Garvin. Married on January 1, 1939, Mr. Garvin is survived by his wife of sixty-five years Mrs. Evelyn Rish Garvin, daughters and sons-in-law Daphne "Dee" and Elmer Outlaw, and Linda and Charles R. Sharpe all of Wagener, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon at the Outlaw home, 6239 Wagener Road (Hwy # 302) near Wagener. Funeral Service will be Sunday February 29th at 3 p.m. in the Bethcar Baptist Church with the Rev. Olin Sizemore and Rev. Chris Addy officiating. Active Pallbearers will be members of Bernard E. Bee Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and Honorary Pallbearers will be the Senior Lunch Bu nch of the Roy Warner Park. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are requested to be made to the Bethcar Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 546, Wagener, SC 29164.
