HOMESTEAD, Fla. -- Scott Pruett won the pole for the Grand American series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a qualifying lap Friday of 112.845 mph in a Lexus.
The pole for the race Saturday was the second in as many tries for Pruett, the top qualifier last month for the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.
The top qualifier Friday in the GT class was Boris Said in a BMW at 104.381. Porsche driver David Murry was quickest in the Super Grand Sport class at 101.024.
