Mr. Robert Martin (HEPHZIBAH, Ga.)



HEPHZIBAH, Ga.- Robert Lewis Martin entered into rest at his residence Wednesday, January 21, 2004. Mr. Martin had lived in the Arlington, Va. area for many years before moving back to Augusta where he was an apprentice with the Augusta Chronicle. He also served his county in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Baptist. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Winsett officiating. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Pearly Martin. Survivors include his children, Vernon Martin of Pottstown, Pa., Michael Martin of Grovetown, Ga., Susan Simonelli of Hopkins, S.C., Cheryl Wilson of Martinez, Ga., Debbie Crabb of Hephzibah, Ga., Bonnie McNair of Waynesboro, Ga., Robert L. Martin of Clifton, Colo., Christopher Martin of Hephzibah, Ga., brother, Harry II Burns of Atlanta, Ga. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
