SUMMERVILLE, S.C.- Mary Carolyn Holland, 87, of Summerville, S.C., died Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the Presbyterian Home of South Carolina. Graveside services, conducted by Rev. Sherrell Dunn, will be held Saturday afternoon, January 24, 2004 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home of South Carolina, 201 W. 9th North Street, Summerville, S.C. 29483. Miss Holland was born April 29, 1916 in Barnwell, S.C., a daughter of Marvin Ney Holland and Carrie Woodward Holland. She graduated from Tubman High School in Augusta and from Ga. State College for Women in Milledgeville, Ga. She was a retired teacher in the Augusta, Ga. schools for 43 years. She was a member of Curtis Baptist Church for over 50 years. Survivors include one sister, Margie Holland Greenwood of Summerville, S.C.; one brother, James Wilbur Holland, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; one niece, Clara Holland Heinsohn of Charleston, S.C .; two nephews, Dr. James W. Holland, Jr. of Savannah, Ga. and Robert Marvin Holland of Spartanburg, S.C.
