Mrs. Ann Crews (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, January 22, 2004, Mrs. Ann Matthews Crews, 61, wife of Lee Edward Crews of Augusta. Mrs. Crews was a native of St. Louis, MO and had lived in Augusta since 1961. She was a member of the Bible Cathedral and was a Dental Assistant with Dr. Michael Rogers for the past 27 years. Mrs. Crews was a devoted wife of 43 years, a loving mother and grandmother and a mother and friend to everyone she met. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Rev. Jack Custer and Rev. Ralph Summerlin officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Michael Rogers, Richard Mertins, David Buckner, Jim Swift, Chuck Fitzgerald and John North. The family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1725, Augusta 30901. Family members are her husband and her mother Myrtle Frances Matthews of Fort Me ade, AR., daughter , Della Crews Sikes and husband, Rick of Evans, Norman Richard Crews and wife, Angie of North Augusta, John Matthew Crews and wife Angie of Grovetown and Paul Edward Crews of Augusta, sisters, Rhonda Sue Gregg of Jonesboro, AR, Darla Renee Townsend of Fort Meade, Fla , brothers, Chuck Winfield Matthews, Norman Phelps Matthews, Paul Wayne Matthews and Dale Edward Matthews all of Fort Meade, Fla, 2 granddaughters and 8 grandsons.
