Mr. Jimmie Calloway (HEPHZIBAH, Ga.)



HEPHZIBAH, Ga.-Mr. Jimmie L. Calloway of Windsor Spring Road entered into rest Monday, January 19, 2004 at his residence. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Broadway Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. C.W. Joyner officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Garden with full military honors. Mr. Calloway, a native of Taylor, Louisiana, retired from U.S. Army as Master Sergeant after twenty years of service having received the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Award. He was also retired from civil service as Guidance Counselor for the Education and Career Development Division at Ft. Gordon. Mr. Calloway was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Survivors are his wife, Clara Calloway; one daughter, Stephanie Calloway, Orlando, Fla.; one son, Jimmy Lee Calloway Jr., Hephzibah; one brother, Claude (Betty) Calloway, Minden, Louisiana; mother-in-law, Luella Jackson, D oyline, Louisiana; one grandchild, Matthew Lamar Morgan; godson, Victor Hammond; goddaughter, Deidra Morgan and other relatives.
