Mrs. Sallie Bussey (MARTINEZ, Ga.)



MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest at Forest Lake Nursing Home on Thursday, January 22, 2004, Mrs. Sallie Mae Bussey, 92, wife of the late Glenn Bussey. A native of McCormick County, S.C., Mrs. Bussey spent most of her life in Edgefield County and the last 25 years in Martinez. She was a member of Warren Baptist Church and the Naomi Ruth Sunday School Class. She was formerly a member of Red Hill Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Mrs. Bussey was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Burial will be in Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Modoc, S.C. following the service. Pallbearers will be Heyward Bailey, Charles Bussey, Monroe Case, Lee Howard, Warren Kenrick, Michael Kolodziejczk. The family will receive friends at Thomas Poteet and Son beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service. Fam ily members include two daughters, Vera Kent and her husband, A. M. Kent, of Martinez, Glenda Morris and her husband, Dr. Bill Morris, of Spartanburg, S.C. Other family members include a sister, Myrtle McDaniel Lott of Belvedere, S.C.; five grandchildren, Deborah Sailors, Lisa Howard, Susan Hall, Kim Perry, and Bill Morris, Jr., and six great-grandchildren, Joshua Sailors, Kelsey and Amanda Perry, Sallie, Amy and Will Morris. Memorials may be made to Warren Baptist Church, 3203 Washington Road, Augusta, Ga., 30909 or to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, Ga., 30904.
