Mr. Jack McDowell (ANDERSON, S.C.)



ANDERSON, S.C. - Entered into rest on Sunday, January 11, 2004, Mr. Jack W. K. McDowell, formerly of Bath. Two brothers, Irvin McDowell and Bob McDowell and two sisters, Willie Mae McDowell Baker Burton and Lucille McDowell, preceded him in death. Surviving are two nephews, Everett Baker of Bath and Kem McDowell of Charlotte, N.C.; and three nieces, Doris B. Clark and Bonnie B. Lanier, both of Bath and Mary M. Dees of North Augusta. Mr. McDowell was born in Bath to the late William Kemper and Dena Robbins McDowell. He was a U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force Veteran of W.W. II and the Korean War. He was the owner of Kelly's Pub, River Street, Savannah, Ga. for ten years and he was of the Catholic faith. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bob Waters officiating. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call at the residence of Bonnie Lanier, #2 Lion's Trail, Bath or on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hatcher Funeral Home, U.S. Hwy. No. 1, Langley.
