Mrs. Joyce McBride (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Beloved wife of Dickie McBride entered into rest at University Hospital on Sunday, December 14, 2003 following a lingering illness. A memorial service will be held at Cliffwood Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Charles M. Rector officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Florida. Mrs. McBride is predeceased by two sons; one daughter; her mother, Lydia M. Hair; father, Weldon S. Hair Sr.; and sister, Betty Jo Redmond of Winston Salem, N.C. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Dickie McBride of the home; step-mother, Grace R. Hair of Orlando, Fla.; two grandsons, Ian Harp of Florida and Adam Anderson of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Kristy Harp and Nathan Anderson; 18 nephews and nieces; area cousins Barbara Padgett and Lana Lockhart of Augusta; brothers, Don Hair, Michael Hair of Orlando, Fla.; sisters Mary Johnson, Sanford, Fla., Rusty Murphy, Greensboro, N.C., Jean Crowe and Li sa Polley of Orlando, Fla. Mrs. McBride was a former lifetime member and president of The Women In The Church of St. Paul Presbyterian Church, Orlando, Fla. and a present member of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church. The family will receive guests at Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, 2525 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, on Wednesday from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
