FLORENCE, S.C. - The Florence Pride should be plenty proud of its power play.
The Pride scored power-play goals in the first and third periods, while the Augusta Lynx went 0-for-5 on its power play in a 2-1 loss to the Pride on Sunday afternoon.
Allan Siroie took advantage of the first penalty of the game, a tripping call on Louis Goulet, to put the Pride in front about midway through the first period. It was Siroie's fifth goal of the season.
After a scoreless second period the Pride scored the game winner. Wes Goldie's 10th goal of the year during a man advantage secured the victory.
Augusta tried to rally but could only manage Jonathn Ganon's fourth goal of the season.
The Lynx lost their second straight game despite outshooting the Pride 27-22.
Augusta goaltender Peter Hamerlik lost his second consecutive game while filling in for Jason Saal.
