Baseball

  • The American Amateur Youth Baseball Alliance is looking for players 9 to 16 and coaches for the 2003 All-Star Nationals Program. For more information, go to www.aayba.com or e-mail clwjr28@aol.com.
  • Today: STaF Athletics, a premier college-prep baseball organization, will hold tryouts for 17-and-under and 18-and-under teams will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at North Cobb Christian High School in Kennesaw, Ga. For more information, call Anthony Fedele at (770) 517-6919.
  • Georgia Tech will have its Pitcher-Catcher and Hitting camps for boys ages 8-18 this winter. Sessions run Dec. 20-21, Dec. 22-23, Jan. 17 and Jan. 18. Two-day camps cost $150; one-day session is $75. For more information, call (770) 475-1159.
  • Basketball

  • Ten Star All-Star Basketball Camp is accepting applications for boys and girls ages 10-19 are now being evaluated. The camp is by invitation only. For more information, call (704) 373-0873.

  • Thursday, Jan. 8-Sunday, Jan. 10: 2004 East Coast Silver Gloves Boxing Championships at May Park Gym. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children and area available at Augusta Boxing Club. Each night will start at 7 p.m. For more information, call (706) 733-7533.
  • Disc Golf

  • The Greater Augusta Sports Council is accepting nominations for the 2003 GAMES Awards for all-around male and female, amateur star, outstanding male and female, para-Olympic star and rising star.
