Mrs. Bernice Griner (SYLVANIA, Ga.)



SYLVANIA, Ga.- Mrs. Bernice Waters Griner, 73, of Sylvania, died Saturday morning under hospice care. The Screven County native was a retired machine operator for Warners Manufacturing Company, Sylvania plant, and was owner/operator of Griner's Grocerette for a number of years. She was a member of McDonald Baptist Church and the Adult II Sunday School class. Her husband, Louis H. "Doll" Griner, her parents, Ira J. and Madge Bassett Waters, and her brother, Julian W. Waters preceded her in death. Survivors include her Daughter and son-in-law Kay G. and James M. Strickland; her grand-daughter, Kristan E. Strickland; her sister andbrother-in-law, Sarah W. and Rupert L. Aaron, and her brother and sister-in-law, W. Ronnie and Shirley B. Waters all of Sylvania; an aunt, Vernon Bassett of Perkins, and several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Griner will be held Monday, December 15, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the McDonald Baptist Chur ch with the Rev. James Barnes officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Aaron, Troy Waters, Chris Waters, DarrickWaters, William Thomas, Glynn Bassett, Thomas Hughes, Wallace Taylor, and Randy Waters.
