THIS IS TO the people who are complaining about cockfights: Understand this, people. What do you think of the pain a squirrel goes through when he's shot with a shotgun? How about a rabbit that is torn all to pieces by a dog that catches it? What about a fish when he's hooked? Don't you think they're going through pain? Ain't no difference, people.
THIS IS A RAVE to the person who found my 12-year-old daughter's wallet at the Augusta Mall this past Saturday. Not only was the wallet returned with the money intact, you personally delivered it to her at school. You are a very honest and caring person. Your thoughtfulness has taught my daughter a valuable life lesson. May God bless you and God bless this great country.
JUDGE THOMAS FALLAW should release the names of the people involved in the cockfighting. They should be embarrassed by what they did. This may deter them from doing it again.
I HAVE CALLED before many, many times. I don't see any of my rants or raves in there. Yet I see things that have happened two days ago in there and maybe two or three of the same thing. The Rants and Raves was my favorite part of the paper until recently. They are boring now. I don't know what's happened or why it was changed. If it's not broke, don't fix it. I am not enjoying it anymore.
TO THE PERSON who wrote in about holy wars: You will face those words in hell with fire all about you. You can change that if you ask God to forgive you today, because we are not promised tomorrow.
THIS IS A RANT for the administration of Augusta State University for making the campus less accessible to handicapped individuals. There are a lot of people in the community who use the library, and they'll be unable to use it now. I believe the ACLU or some other organization that advocates for handicapped rights should initiate an investigation to determine if the school was in violation of federal law. I hope when future fund-raisers take place that people will keep in mind this lack of concern to the community.
I HAVE A RANT to all who don't support our president. Regardless if you voted for him or not, he is the commander in chief of this great country we live in. President Bush did the right thing by striking back at the enemy that threatened our freedom and I hope he doesn't stop till the enemy is eliminated.
