Six area independent school players have been selected to play in next week's All-Star Football game between the Georgia and South Carolina independent school associations.
Four Georgia players were selected: John Hancock's Jona Hollinshed, Augusta Christian's Cole Rabun, Briarwood's Bob Wills and Brentwood's David Hill. Brentwood coach Bert Brown and John Hancock coach Bob Peck are assistants under head coach Ronnie Jones of Westfield.
For the South Carolina team, a pair of players from Class A champion Wardlaw were selected: running back Brian Anderson and lineman Craig Engle.
The contest will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C.
