Mrs. Matilda Williams (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Matilda H. Williams of Celeste Drive entered into rest Monday, November 24, 2003 at her residence. Mrs. Williams was a native of Augusta and a faithful member of Cummings Grove Baptist Church of which Rev. Norris Rouse is pastor, where she served on as president of the senior choir. Survivors include two daughters, Elease (Joe) Reynolds, Beech Island, S.C. and Betty Jean Jones, Augusta; son, Rev. David R. (Shirley) Williams, Augusta; devoted grandchildren, Albert and Matilda Martin, Augusta; grandchildren, Jerry (Teresa) Jordan, Martinez; Sherry Ward, Augusta, Deborah (Leroy) Simpkins, Augusta, Chandra Reynolds, Beech Island, S.C. and Lopaze Jones, Augusta; 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Hopkins; brother-in-law, Clarence Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1, 2003 at 1 p.m. from Cummings Grove Baptist Church, Rev. Norris Rouse officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens.
