Mr. Norris Tyler (NORWAY, S.C.)



NORWAY, S.C. - The funeral service for Norris "Pop" Tyler, 60, of Lupine Circle, Norway, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Norway with Rev. N.A. McNeal and Rev. Willie L. James officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at noon. Mr. Tyler died Friday, November 21, 2003 at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia after a brief illness. He was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Cliff and Eula Lee Tyler. He was employed with the County of Orangeburg Department of Public Works. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Peggy James Tyler of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Terri (Greg) Tyler-Franklin of Cordova; a son, Christopher James Tyler of Norway; five sisters, Ms. Elizabeth Tyler, Ms. Gloria Tyler and Mrs. Annie Mae Wannamaker, all of Cope, Mrs. Vinie (Clyde) Ryant of Cordova and Mrs. Lillian Frazier of New York; three brothers, Herman Tyler of Cope, Napoleon (Margie) Tyler and Oscar (Mattie) Tyler, both of Orangeburg; four grandchildren, Demisha and DeAngelo Tyler of Bamberg and Malik and Matia Franklin of Cordova; and one aunt, Ms. Winnie Isaac of Maryland. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2003 at W.B. Crumel Funeral Home of North.
