Mrs. Janet Hudson (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Janet G. Hudson, beloved wife of Dr. James B. Hudson, Lakemont Drive, passed away Friday, October 10, 2003, at her residence. Graveside memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2003, at 10:30 a.m., at Westover Memorial Park with Father Daniel Munn and the Reverend Earl Saxon officiating. Mrs. Hudson was a homemaker and had lived in Augusta for over 40 years. She was a graduate of Smith College, Northampton, Mass., was a member of the Sierra Club and was a hospice volunteer for over 10 years. Additional survivors include three daughters, Deborah Hudson Wood, Travelers Rest, S.C., Betsy Hudson, Shrewsbury, Mass. and Catherine Hudson Paradise, Martinez; three sisters, Mary Ann Young, Tiberon, Calif., Margaret Smith, Marblehead, Mass. and Jean Heaton, Menlo Park, Calif.; eight granddaughters and several nieces and nephews also survive her. Visitation will be held Monday, October 13, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 1134 Telfair Street.
