Mrs. Alice Evans (WASHINGTON, Ga.)



WASHINGTON, Ga. - Mrs. Alice Turner Evans, 82, of Hill Street, entered into rest Friday evening at Wilkes Health Care Center. Mrs. Evans was a native of Lincoln County, where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Lewis H. Turner and Frances Simmons Turner. She was a retired seamstress in the textile industry and was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11 a.m., at the Beulah Baptist Church with Revs. Todd Ware and Albert Huyck officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Roberson, Bobby Evans, Randy Evans, Dean Ware, Boyce Hall and D.J. Evans. She is survived by her daughters, Frances Ware, Washington, Juanita Roberson, Appling, Donna Bolton, North Augusta, Nikki Ahlf, Lincolnton and Millie Fay Trammell, Columbia, S.C.; her sons, Jimmy Evans, Augusta, Bobby Evans, Dearing, Sammy Evans, Appling, Wilbur Evans, Calhoun Falls, S.C., Doug Evans, Lincolnton and William Wayne Evans, Simpsonville, S.C.; one brother, W.L. Turner, Dearing; two sisters, Nora Cochran, Forsythe and Betty Martin, Lithonia and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
