Mrs. Joan Fuqua (EVANS, Ga.)



EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Joan W. Fuqua, 72, of Saddle Circle, entered into rest Wednesday, September 24, 2003, at the St. Joseph Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2003, at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Glenn Etheridge officiating. Mrs. Fuqua was born in Pensacola, Fla. and was a retired College Professor. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, Alpha Delta Phi and Phi Delta Kapa. She was also a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Survivors include her two sons and their wives, Wilburn E. Fuqua Jr., and Kate W. of New York, Chuck Fuqua and his wife, Tammy of Martinez; a daughter, Elizabeth Mason, Tucson, Ariz.; three brothers, Oscar B. Waters Jr., Attala, Ala., William Lee Waters, Orlando, Fla., Robert L. Waters, Houston, Texas; one sister, Anne Ruth Blasto, California; two grandchildren, Nicole Lee Mason and Mathew Ryan Mason, both of Arizona.
