AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Lula R. Walker, of Boars Head Road, entered into rest Friday, September 19, 2003, at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 22, 2003, at noon at Bethel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Larry Hudson officiating. Burial will be at Walker Memorial Park. Mrs. Walker, a native of Greenville, was a graduate of South Carolina State University, Orangeburg. After forty years of service in Jefferson County and other South Carolina and Georgia counties, she retired from teaching school. Mrs. Walker was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, where she served as former Sunday school member and teacher, Chaplain the Happy Bunch, and past president of the Mazie Perry Board. Survivors are three nieces, Carole A. (Alex) Kenner, Augusta, Winifred A. (John) Lukes, Greenville, Juanita Robinson, Kingsport, Tenn.; two nephews, James N. Robinson, Detroit, Mich., and Charles Robinson, Kingsport, Tenn.; great-niece, Carole L. (Reginald) Williams, Marietta; great nephews, Carlo A. (Dorothy) Kenner, Marietta, Winfred Scottson Kenner, Hampton, Va. Pallbearers will be Trustees and Stewards of Bethel A.M.E. Church. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 Martin Luther King Blvd.
