Mr. Thomas McBride (WAYNESBORO, Ga.)



WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mr. Thomas Everett McBride, 64, of Lake Bluff Drive entered into rest Tuesday, August 5, 2003. Mr. McBride was a native of Burke County and the owner of McBride Gin and Farm Supply, he was the former Ruling Elder of ARP Presbyterian Church of Vidette, and also the Mayor of Vidette. He also served as a board member for the Bank of Midville. Mr. McBride was a member of the Waynesboro Country Club and the Ogeechee Country Club in Louisville. He was a board member at Edmund Burke Academy and the CoFounder of the Georgia Agriculture Chemical Company. He also received numerous awards and recognitions with Helena Chemical Company. Mr. McBride was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro. Survivors include his wife Brenda J. McBride, Waynesboro; two daughters, Deborah Anne McBride, Santa Fe, N.M. and Lynn McBride Reeves and her husband Hoke Reeves, both of Statesboro; one son, Thomas Everett McBride, Jr. and his wife Shanna McBride of Augusta; two grandchildren, Mary Margaret Reeves and Smith Reeves. Funeral services will be today, August 7, 2003 at 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro with Rev. Robert L. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Rose Dhu Cemetery in Vidette. Pallbearers will be Dean Daily, Johnny Shiver, Raybon Anderson, Jim Alexander, Sam Story, Manton Horton, and Steve Bailey.
