Dr. Edward Yarbrough Jr. (EATONTON, Ga.)



EATONTON, Ga.- Dr. Edward Yarbrough, Jr. , age 81, entered into rest on Saturday, July 19, 2003 in a Milledgeville hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 3 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel, Milledgeville, with burial in Baldwin Memorial Gardens. Dr. Yarbrough was a native of Alabama, but had made his home in Swainsboro where he practiced Chiropractic for 30 years. He had made his home in Putnam County for the past several years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WW II. He was the son of the late Edward R. Yarbrough, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Hagood Yarbrough. He was a graduate of the Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis, Ind. and he was active in the Georgia Chiropractic Association. He was a member of various civic groups in Swainsboro, and was a former Boy Scout Leader and taught Sunday school for a number of years. He was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church, in Putnam County. Survivors include, wife, Martha Anderson Yarbrough, of Eatonton; sons, John Robert "Bob" Yarbrough of Marietta, Dr. James Edward Yarbrough of Laurens, S.C.; sister, Betty Noojin of Houston, Texas; brothers, James T. Yarbrough, Kerrville, Texas, Claude Yarbrough of Fuquary-Varina, N.C., John W. Yarbrough of Knoxville, Tenn., Bill Yarbrough of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, James E. Yarbrough, Jr., John T.
