The National Weather Service issued a flood warning this afternoon in parts of Georgia and South Carolina.
Rainfall is expected to cause concern until Wednesday in certain areas of Georgia, including Columbia, Lincoln, McDuffie and Richmond counties. South Carolina has a flood watch in effect for Aiken, Edgefield and McCormick counties.
The wet weather will move through the area today, with very moist and unstable air producing showers and a few thunderstorms as well as heavy rain at times. The rainfall will increase the moisture content of the ground and enhance runoff.
