Mr. Jeffrey Jenkins (MARTINEZ, Ga.)



MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest Friday, June 27, 2003 at the residence, Mr. Jeffrey Lynn Jenkins, husband of Toni H. Jenkins of Martinez. Other family members include daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie Jenkins Banks and husband David of Martinez; Wendi Jenkins Davis and husband Clay of Martinez; grandchildren: Mitchel Banks, Morgan Banks, Matt Davis and Sydney Davis; brother and sister-in-law: Wayne and Charlotte Jenkins of Martinez; Aunts and Uncles: Edna Hearn of Augusta; Lila Mae and Emory Lewis and Maness Hensley. Mr. Jenkins was a native of Augusta. He traveled and lived in many places, both as a U.S. Army officer on tour in Korea and with his job with the Alcoa Co., moving back to Augusta in 1976. He retired as manager of Quality Control with Georgia Iron Works. He was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church and was in the Adult Couples and Singles Sunday School Class. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech where he received a BS in Industrial Engineering. He received his Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee. He was a member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers and was president of the Private Industry Council. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, big brother and friend. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 30, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Greg Hatfield and Rev. Alan Faulkner officiating. Pallbearers will be Reab Berry, Vernon Hearn, Jimmy Hewett, Eric Thompson, James Rachels, Alvin Postell, Steve Sharpe, Warren Daves and Leonard Martin.
