Has it reached the point where the majority of Augustans must accept that half of our duly-elected county commissioners are a point of embarrassment instead of pride, as seen when we view them on television?
I gather that the time rule was established so that individual commissioners are allowed two minutes plus a one-minute extension if so needed. Why even have rules, and why have a presiding mayor if he's not going to enforce the established rules?
One thing that might help would be to remove TV coverage. When it's "lights, camera, action," some folks think it's show time on a movie set.
Let's do away with the camera and see what happens.
