Mrs. Martha Lewis (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Martha Claude Lewis entered into rest on Saturday, June 14, 2003, at Beverly Villa. A graveside service was held on Monday, June 16, 2003, at 2 p.m., at Omega Cemetery in Baxley, Ga., with the Rev. Jay Meadows officiating. Mrs. Lewis, a native of Baxley, was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Jesup. Survivors include a son, Guy Forrest Lewis II of Aiken; two daughters, Jean Bowen of Martinez and Robbie Lewis of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Billy Lewis and Jerry Lewis both of Baxley; a sister, Ruth Hart of Augusta; nine grandchildren, Phillip Lee Schneider, Brett Raymond Schneider, Allison Mae Schneider, Ashley Bowen Haynes, John Eric Bowen, Justin Guy Lewis, Derek Charles Lewis, Michelle Ann Lewis and Brooke Geneva Lewis; and one great-grandchild, Chelsae Schneider. Mrs. Lewis was predeceased by her husband, Guy Forrest Lewis. Pallbearer were Jason Haynes, Harry Wade, Jeff Lewis, John Lewis, Patrick Lewis and Phil Lewis.
