Credit report agency will put data online

Merchants Credit Bureau, an Augusta-based affiliate of credit reporting agency Experian, announced that its reports will be available online through a Connecticut company's Internet-based lending, leasing and research service.

The company, SS&C Technologies, Inc., is making Merchants' data available through BANCMall, a product giving lenders instant access to information provided by partners such as Trans Union, Equifax and Dun & Bradstreet.

"Our alliance with SS&C gives financial institutions desktop access to Experian's vast credit file database," said Brian McKinney, the vice president of Merchants Credit Bureau.
