A: Great. My friends and family see me play makes me enjoy it a lot more.

Q: Have your family and friends been making regular trips to Augusta?

A: Yeah, they've already made a lot of trips here, and when we went to South Georgia, there was about 200, 300 there each game, at least. People from my hometown and my high school town.

Q: I read you were a football player - a quarterback - in high school, too?

A: Yep. Played football and basketball.

Q: Did you have a chance to play other sports in college?

A: Yeah, I had a bunch of offers to smaller schools. I really wasn't interested. I just wanted to play baseball.

Q: Dawgs or Yellow Jackets?

A: Neither.

Q: What's your hometown like?

A: Small. One red light. You know pretty much everyone in town.

Q: Do they indoor plumbing down there?

A: Yeah.

Q: Do the people wear shoes there?

A: What?

Q: Shoes. Do they wear shoes in Buena Vista?

A: Yeah. They wear shoes.

Q: Let's test your Spanish. What does Buena Vista mean?

A: Good view.

A: No, not really.

Q: What do you attribute that to?

A: Just working hard - having to work hard my whole life and working for everything I have. My parents making me work hard and teaching me good manners and everything.

Q: Dan Reeves or Chan Gailey?

A: I don't really know either one of them. Both played in Americus, but I have no favorite, really.

Q: Who's the most famous graduate of your school, besides you?

A: The year before I graduated, Brent Carter went to Alabama they just won the SEC (in baseball) for the second time. He's doing real good.
