AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Lila Sue McLaughlin of Kane Court entered into rest Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 2 p.m., at First Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Willie James officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a native of Augusta, a member of First Shiloh Baptist Church where she was a member of the Voices of Shiloh Choir and the Mass Choir. She was a retired bus attendant with the Richmond County Board of Education. Survivors are two daughters, Denise Bennett, Brenda (Shandell) Bennett; two sons, John Gary (Kirby) Bennett, Ryan (Tracey) McLaughlin, all of Augusta; three sisters, Patricia (Richard) Jenkins, Augusta; Barbara (Willie) Garnett, Hephzibah, Lenora (George) Johnson; one brother, George Johnson, Jr., Augusta; and a host of grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Williams Funeral Home, 2945 Old Tobacco Road, Hephzibah.
