Perdue prime example of voter apathy

Politicians like Gov. Sonny Perdue are the root cause of voter apathy in this country. Is it any wonder so many Americans refuse to get involved in the political process?

During his gubernatorial campaign, Mr. Perdue welcomed being surrounded by multiple 1956-2001 Georgia state flags. However, directly after his win (during his victory tour), his supporters were told that the presence of their flags was unacceptable. It happened right here in Richmond County.

Then on May 8, Gov. Perdue took the ultimate nasty swing at those in his political stronghold. He didn't need them anymore - so he disenfranchised them by signing into law yet another unwanted flag. He also supported a referendum that included the Roy Barnes banner, but not our 1956-2001 true Georgia state flag.

What Georgians apparently have just experienced is the ultimate in conflict of interest on the part of a politician. How can we possibly surrender to such rotten political manipulation and scheming?
