AUGUSTA, Ga. - Agnes McMillan Koch, age 29, of Augusta, passed away Monday, April 7, 2003, at Emory University Medical Center of Atlanta. A native of Eastman, she had resided in Baxley since the age 8, until graduation from high school in 1991. Agnes moved to Augusta in 1991 and enrolled at Augusta College where she graduated in 1996 with her degree in Nursing. After graduation, she began her career as a registered nurse at University Hospital, working at 5 North/South, the Float Pool and most recently in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit, until February of 2003. She is preceded in death by her mother, Janet McMillan, who passed away in April of 2002, and her brother, Mark McMillan, who passed away in December of 2000. She is survived by her husband of three years, Mike Koch, Augusta; her father, Mercer McMillan, Cochran; two sisters, Jan Roberson and her husband, Shayne, Augusta, Roxanne Spell and her husband, Dale, Baxley; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends form 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Wind Lung Transplant Association, Clearwater, Fla.
