Mrs. Mary Rambo (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Ham Rambo, age 92, of Augusta, beloved wife of the late Whatley P. Rambo, entered into rest Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Sunrise Senior Living. Funeral services will be held at Platts Crawford Avenue Chapel on Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at 11 a.m. with the Dr. Rodger Murchison, Dr. Timothy Owings, and Reverend Jake Malone officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Greenwood, South Carolina at 3 p.m. Survivors include one niece JoAnn and Bob Stevenson of Greenwood; great nephew, Jay Ham, Douglasville; several other great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rambo was the daughter of the late Frank and Erna Ham. She was a retired Medical Secretary, she loved her work and loved people. Mrs. Rambo was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta for over 60 years. She worked on several committees, and was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital for a number of years. Serving as Pallbearers will be David Keel, Lanny Montgomery, Don Montgomery, Bobby Stevenson, Robby Stevenson, Michael Stevenson. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Winsome-Gleaners Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 1, 2003 from 10 until 11 a.m. Platts Funeral Home, 721 Crawford Avenue, Augusta. 733-3636.
