Mr. Carlton Pridgen (JACKSON, S.C.)



JACKSON, S.C. - Funeral services for Mr. Carlton B. "Boots" Pridgen, 63, of Burroughs Street, Jackson, who died March 30, 2003, will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. from the First Baptist Church of Jackson. Rev. Edward Newsome officiating. Interment in Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Pridgen was a native of Rocky Mount, N.C.; having made Jackson his home of the past 17 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson, a US Army Veteran, and a retired well driller. Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Newsome Pridgen, two sons, Carlton B. Pridgen II, Lakeland, Fla.; and Steven W. Pridgen, Barnwell, S.C.; two daughters, Wanda Ann Holzworth, Lakeland, Fla.; and Marissa Dianne Pridgen, Jackson, S.C.; mother, Mattie Irene Warbritton, Rocky Mount, NC.; two brothers, J.W. Pridgen and James R. Pridgen, both of Rocky Mount, N.C.; five grandchildren, Travis Holzworth, Ashley Collins, Kimberly Pridgen, Brooke Pridgen and Kaylie Pridgen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Jackson, P.O. Box 130, Jackson, S.C. 28731. Stephen D.
