AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Anne Furst-Kwis, 90, of Arrowhead Drive, passed away peacefully after a long illness at the Medical College of Georgia on Friday, March 28, 2003. Graveside funeral services will be held at Westover Memorial Park on Monday, March 31, 2003, at 10 a.m., with Rabbi Marc Kline officiating. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. A.J. Furst and Elayne of Coral Gables, Fla.; three grandchildren, James A. Furst and Joseph R. Furst, both of Coconut Grove, Fla. and Jeffrey M. Furst, Glendale, Ariz. Mrs. Furst-Kwis was preceded in death by her husbands, Alex Furst and Robert Kwis; her son, Robert Alan Furst and two brothers, Ben Stegall and Max Segall. A native of Collins, Mrs. Furst-Kwis was a local businesswoman working with Friedmans Jewelry Store. She was a member of the Congregation Children of Israel and the Temple Sisterhood. She was active in community affairs and an avid golfer. Suffering in her later years was greatly relieved by her caregiver Juanita Devoe.
