Mr. Jack Morris (JACKSON, S.C.)



JACKSON, S.C. - Funeral services for Mr. John M. "Jack" Morris, 75, of Old Jackson Highway, Kathwood Community, Jackson, who died March 29, 2003, will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 p.m., from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Morris was a life long resident of Kathwood Community. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, where he had served on the Board of Trustees, an usher and various church committees. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion Post No. 97. Mr. Morris was a retired salesman with Skinner Auto Supply and a former member of church and recreational softball teams. Survivors include his wife, Betty Fell "Jeanna" Morris; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Charlie Jackson, Lawrenceville and Jackie and Richard Lewenthal, Marietta; a brother, Ivins S. Morris Jr., North Augusta; a sister, Margaret M. Davis, Lake Jackson, Texas; five grandchildren, Benjamin Jackson, Caroline Jackson, John Lewenthal, Anna Lewenthal and Josh Lewenthal. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Hill, Maurice Rice, Edgar Brannen, Calvin Broome, Jim Edwards, Dedrich Cole, Willard Stewart, James Corbin, John Robert Miller, Grady Sizemore and Dan Connelly. Active pallbearers will be Ricky Butts, Kenny Wall, Grady Belger, Jerry Corbin, Dwayne Lively and Steve Cole. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening from 5 to 7. Memorials may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 1541 Old Jackson Highway, Jackson, SC 29831 or the American Cancer Society, 115 Greenvillle Street, S.W., Aiken, SC 29801. Stephen D.
