Mr. Harley Morris (ACWORTH, Ga.)



ACWORTH, Ga. - Harley Morris, 81, of Acworth died Monday, March 17, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with the Rev. Bryant Harris officiating. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery in Acworth. A native of Canton, Mr. Morris retired from the Cobb County Heating Inspections Department. He served with the 4th Marine Division during World War II. He was past commander of American Legion Post 160 in Smyrna and coached American Legion Baseball. Survivors include his wife, Betty Morris; one son, Bill Morris of Dallas; two daughters, Pat Kennedy of Springfield and Paula Morris of Acworth; one brother, Penky Morris of Acworth; two sisters, Sallie Adams of Smyrna and Dickie Cato of Statesboro; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.
