ATLANTA -- Micah Owings hit a two-run homer and Tyler Greene had a solo shot Tuesday to lift Georgia Tech to a 3-1 victory over Campbell despite getting only three hits.
The Yellow Jackets improved to 11-0 for their best start since a 16-0 beginning to the 1987 season. Tech also went 11-0 in 1985.
Andrew Kown (1-0) pitched six shutout inning, yielding three hits, for his first career win. For Campbell ((3-10), Matt Kleweno (1-2), Andrew Barrows, Jeff Stovall and Brandon Yates combined on the three-hitter.
Greene's homer in the second made it 1-0, and Owings made it 3-0 in the sixth.
The Camels loaded the bases with two outs in the eighth. Jeff Watchko got the final out for his second save. Campbell got on the board with Derek Barrows' sacrifice fly in the ninth.
