Mr. Jack Handegan (TRENTON, S.C.)



TRENTON, S.C. - Mr. Jack Doty Handegan, 91, of West Wise Street died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Edgefield County Hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Our Savior Episcopal Church Cemetery in Trenton with the Rev. Janet E. Tarbox officiating. Mr. Handegan was a native of West Frankfort, Ill. and was a member of Our Savior Episcopal Church. Mr. Handegan was a retired secretary and treasurer of Carolina Sales Co. which served peach growers. He was an avid outdoorsman and woodworker. He was a former resident of Old Ellenton and a member of the Ridge Agricultural Club. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Dyer Handegan, Rock Hill, Terry Handegan, Hilton Head, Jack Doty Handegan Jr., Charleston; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Dyer Handegan. Memorials may be made to Epworth Childrens Home, P.O. Box 50466, Columbia, S.C. 29250. The family is at the home 206 West Wise Street, Trenton and will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Trudy Holmes, 1033 Hwy. 191, Johnston, S.C.
