NEW YORK -- Michael Jordan won Eastern Conference player of the week honors Monday.
Not bad for a 40-year-old player.
Jordan led the Washington Wizards to a 3-1 record last week, averaging 24.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists. He had a double-double with 35 points and 11 rebounds in the Wizards' 100-98 overtime win over Houston on Thursday.
The 40-year-old Jordan faced his former team, the Chicago Bulls, two days later and had 17 points and eight rebounds.
Ray Allen was named the Western Conference's player of the week. Allen arrived in Seattle on Feb. 20 after being traded from Milwaukee. Last week, the SuperSonics went 4-0 and Allen averaged 28.3 points, 7.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds.
