Mr. Curtis Ford Sr. (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Curtis M. Ford Sr., 80, beloved husband of Mrs. Betty Y. Ford, entered into rest on March 1, 2003, at the Medical College of Georgia. Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Monday, March 3, 2003, at 11 a.m, with Rev. Edward Kvietkus Jr. officiating. Additional survivors include one son, Curtis M. Ford Jr., of Augusta; one daughter, Kathy Lord of Martinez; four grandchildren, Jeff Lord, Joey Lord, Melissa Hansen, Monica Rice; four great grandchildren, Gabrielle Rice, Glenn Hansen, Ethan Kale Lord, Kristen Hansen. Mr. Ford was a lawyer in the Augusta area for the past 50 years and was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was a veteran of WW II, where he served in the 19th Battalion, receiving the Purple Heart.
