Mrs. Jewel Usry (ALBANY, Ga.)



ALBANY, Ga. - Mrs. Jewel Perdue Usry, 98 of Albany, died February 27, 2003 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The funeral service is today, Friday 10 a.m., at Avalon United Methodist Church, Rev. Dale Thornton officiating. Interment will be 4 p.m., today at the Stapleton Baptist Church Cemetery in Stapleton. A native of Jefferson Co., Mrs. Usry lived in Albany for 11 years where she attended Avalon United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Ladies Bible Class. Mrs. Usry was a graduate of Wrens High School in Wrens. Survivors include a son, John K. Usry of Augusta; granddaughter, Jill Usry-Boyd of Albany; two great- grandchildren, Meghan Jewel Boyd of Albany, and Evan Michael Boyd of Albany; several nieces and nephews.
