Mr. John Kelley (HARLEM, Ga.)



HARLEM, Ga. - Entered into rest, Monday, February 24, 2003, at Saint Joseph Hospital, Augusta, Mr. John Raybon Kelley, 70, husband of Mrs. Janette Story Kelley, of Lonergan-Hulme Road, Harlem. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at Powell Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Whitaker officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, near Grovetown, with military honors. Mr. Kelley, a native of Bath, South Carolina, was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Plumbers and Steam-fitters Union Local # 150. He was a member of the Powell Baptist Church were he served as an Ordained Deacon, Director of the Brotherhood, Director of the Red Cross Shelter, and the Kilpatrick Baptist Disaster Relief Food Service Team. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Janette Story Kelley; two sons, John William Kelley, Harlem, and Leonard Joe Kelley, Thomson; one daughter, Nancy Kelley Miller, Harlem; four sisters, Joyce Nichols, Martinez, Ondaree Kelley Tucker, Belvedere, S.C., Obie Bazen, North Augusta, S.C., and Johnnie Hayes, Thomson; three grandchildren, Alanna Kelley, Harlem, Heather Kelley, Thomson, and Chris Miller, Martinez; and seven nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Elton McClellan, Andy Collins, John Johnson, Warren Daves, Weldon Hair, Phillip Dyches, and Paul Pennington. Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of the Plumbers and Steam-fitters Union Local #150, the Adults Menâs Sunday School Class of Powell Baptist, and the Ordained Deacons of Powell Baptist Church, Lee Anderson, L.B. Anderson, Wayne Collins, Tommy Davis, Ted Flanders, Harold Hughes, Mike Howell, Ed James, Randy Inglett, David L. Maddox, Cleveland M. McMahan, A.L.
