THIS CONCERNS the people who are trying to boycott the old Georgia flag: I have always said that there were two Georgians. You have the rich Georgians in Atlanta, and then you have the other Georgians. Those in Atlanta with the money are trying to force it down our throats, telling us what we should feel. For the man who owns the Falcons and The Home Depot, I am going to boycott them. I'll go to Lowe's. I say let the people vote on this flag referendum.
I HAVE LOST another hero, Nelson Mandela. His latest quote: "If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocity in the world, it is the United States of America." Shame on you.
I HOPE EVERY time the Republicans and the people who voted for Bush have to pay for gas or tell their loved ones goodbye to go into service, they are proud they elected him. Maybe they will get what they asked for.
THIS IS FOR Glynn Moore. I just appreciate his column, and I hope that he never gets tired of writing it.
I TRULY HAVE sympathy for the people who were killed in the space shuttle, but don't you think that God is trying to tell us something. Let's take those billions of dollars and put it toward building houses for the homeless and putting food in their mouths.
TO ALL THOSE people who bother to return their shopping carts to where they belong. Sadly, it is mostly the elderly who make the trips. If I see a young person doing the same, I make certain they know they are doing a good deed and compliment them accordingly.
THIS IS A rant to the people who show up at parties already drunk. They spoil the fun for everyone. Parties are a time to have fun, not to have some drunk act a fool and offend decent people. My advice is to stay home with your bottle - at least the two of you will be the only ones hurt.
EVERY TIME something happens to an inmate in the Richmond County Detention Center, why do they always list what the inmate was originally charged with and their past record? To make it look acceptable for something to happen to the inmate while in their care.
I WOULD LIKE to ask the person who found a black, metal, adjustable walking cane in the garage of the Partridge Inn if they would please turn it in to the desk. I have lost it and need it very bad and would appreciate it if you would turn it in.
