WRENS, Ga. - Mr. Thomas "Speedball" Lewis Evans, 61, of Phillips Street, entered into rest February 24, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 26, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Wrens United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy White, Dr. James Ford and Rev. Russell Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Wrens City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight, February 25, 2003 at the funeral home. Mr. Evans was employed at Deerfield Specialty Paper Company for 29 years. Survivors include his wife Harriett "Jerry" Lamb Evans, Wrens, one son, Harry Lamb Evans, and daughter in law, Michelle Evans, Wrens, his father James Melvin Evans, Sr., Wrens, two brothers James Melvin Evans, Jr., and sister in law Marion Evans, Matthews, William Bob Evans, and sister in law Tina Evans, New Port News, Virginia, one sister Ann Evans Arrington, and brother in law Gene Arrington, Wrens, one grandchild, Rabun Thomas Evans, Wrens, sister in law Sydney Lamb McGahee and brother in law Maurice McGahee Wrens, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Hank Johnson, Clayton Johnson, Jamie Roberson, Bill Perry, Billy Weatherford, Chris Sheppard, Wayne Favors, and Frank Chance. James Funeral Home- Wrens, GA.
