Mr. Billie Dye (GIBSON, Ga.)



GIBSON, Ga. - Mr. Billie Dye, 71, of East Main Street, died Saturday, February 22, 2003, at the V. A. Medical Center, Augusta. The funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, at Sheppard Funeral Home, Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Seaman officiating. Interment will be in Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Dye was a native of Warren County. He was an army veteran in the Korean Conflict, and he was retired from Jebco Manufacturing Company in Warrenton, where he worked in maintenance. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, a member of the Gibson Masonic Lodge No. 257 and a member of the Gibson-Glascock County Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Shirley Kitchens Dye of Gibson; three daughters, Vickie D. Kitchens of Gibson, Billie Ann Cason of Thomson, and Marilyn D. Stevenson of Lincolnton; one step-son, Mr. Terry Poole of Gibson; one sister, Mrs. Betty Williams of Thomson and ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The pallbearers are Lester Hadden, Jimmy Newsome, Chris Griffith, Wallace Purvis, Jimmy Williams, and Donald Kent. Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Gibson Masonic Lodge No. 257. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and at the residence of Vickie and Lewis Kitchens, 265 Warren Street, Gibson.
