Mrs. Edna West (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Edna F. West, loving wife of the late Matthew C. West, entered into rest on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at her residence. Survivors include her granddaughters, Virginia "Genny" S. Crozier of West Columbia, and Bonita "Bunny" Coleman of Augusta,; a special niece, Barbara B. Stewart of Augusta; sister, Frances F. Mullis of Charlotte, N.C.; ten great-grandchildren and numerous great great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. West was born in Adam Station, Georgia to the late Ellison Dekalb and Nettie Victoria Owens Farmer. She was a bookkeeper for the Partridge Inn and Gulf Oil Company and a avid bowler. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection where she was a member of the Weltner Bible Class. She was predeceased by her children Charles Yonce, Virginia Y. Stockman, and Helen Y. Wilson and one grandson Glenn Arthur Wilson. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 in Hillcrest Memorial Park . Pallbearers will be her loving family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
