President George W. Bush can draw, but he shouldn't shoot. His trigger finger can itch, but he can scratch it. He should wait until he sees the whites of their eyes, but keep talking. It's all about power. It's the price of oil. It's Christianity vs. Islam. It's who is going to rule the world. It's World War III.
I helped to liberate France, Belgium and Germany in World War II. I am still suffering from the victory. No one wins wars. We are the worst military governors in the world.
France, Belgium, Germany and Russia have faced the bitterness of the war. Mr. Bush should listen to them before he pulls the trigger.
As a Christian, I remember what Jesus told the disciples when they asked him to rain down fire and brimstone to silence the enemy. Elijah had done this.
Mr. Bush should lay that pistol down. There is another way.
