Casey Bentley (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, February 18, 2003, Casey Marie Bentley, 20, daughter of Robert M. and Cathy Casey Bentley of Augusta. Other family members include her brother, Matthew Reed Bentley; sister, Catherine Brett Bentley; paternal grandparents, Hubert H. Bentley and the late Catherine Woodward Bentley; maternal grandparents, Julian V. "Sonny" and Patricia M. Casey; great-aunt, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Casey; aunts and uncles, Terri and Derek Snead and family, Erin and Terry McGee and family, Karen and Keith Gentile and family, Dick Casey, Bert and Becky Bentley and family, Brian and Heather Bentley and Family. Miss Bentley was a native of Augusta. She was a member of St. Mary on-the-Hill Catholic Church. She was a 2001 graduate of Aquinas High School, where she was a member of the varsity cheerleading squad, varsity track team, varsity tennis team and student recruiters. She had attended Presbyterian College where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi Sorority. She was a sophomore at Augusta State University, majoring in nursing. Pallbearers will be Will Jackson, Matt and Tony LeZotte, Jed Capuy, John Pope, Ryan McCardle, Michael Johnson, Scott Rhodes, Ross Trulock, Niju Phillip, Will Barrett, Matthew Brigmon and John Pope. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Aquinas High School 2001 graduating class, and special friends, Ryan Armstrong, Margie Godbee, Lisa Rogers, Mary Catherine Ward, Rachel Utley, Julie Lyons, Katherine Hickey, Ashley Jackson, Katie Daykin, Penny Jackson, Jessica Morrell, Kelly Hughes, and Annie Buchanan. The Vigil for the deceased will be Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., at St. Mary On-the-Hill Catholic Church and the family will receive friends afterwards at the church. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 20, 2003, at 1 p.m., at St. Mary-on-the-Hill Catholic Church, The Rev. Jerry Ragan and Fr. Allan McDonald con-celebrants.
