My three best friends are going to do something with their boyfriends for Valentine's Day, just like everyone else. So who are we single people left to hang with? Ourselves -- unless you just happen to have another close friend who is single.
I have a lifetime record of having no valentine on that one day when it seems to matter most and just hoping someone will pity me. But this year, that is going to change.
I'm not going to sit around feeling sorry for myself; I'm going to do something, even if it is as simple as watching a movie. As a matter of fact, I think I might rent one with my mom!
Get together with anyone you care about, even if it is your annoying little sister, and just have a little fun. And, believe it or not, you can get in the spirit of the day without a date.
Valentine's Day is about all types of love, not just for boyfriends and girlfriends. While I may not have a significant other like everyone else has, I realize that I am loved -- by my friends and family -- and that is enough for me right now.
